Hi, I'm Josh
Dynamics 365 & Power Platform - Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dataverse
Supporting a live enterprise platform by day. Building, breaking and writing up my own solutions the rest of the time.
About Me
Service Delivery Lead β Power Platform & Dynamics 365
Current role Β· Large enterprise organisation in a regulated environment
I support Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform for a live enterprise service β investigating and fixing faults, delivering configuration changes, and acting as an escalation point for the people who depend on it day to day. Three years of that has taught me a great deal about how solutions behave once real people are using them, and it's the perspective I bring as a Power Platform functional consultant.
The rest of the time I set myself scenarios and build them end to end in my own environment: canvas and model-driven apps, cloud flows, Dataverse models, Copilot Studio agents and Power Pages sites. AB-410 in July 2026 came out of that work rather than from a revision guide.
Through this blog, I share insights, best practices, and practical guidance to help you navigate the Power Platform ecosystemβwhether you're just getting started or looking to advance your expertise.

How I Work
The habits and principles behind the way I support and build on the Power Platform
π£οΈ Start With the Problem
Most of the changes I deliver start with a conversation rather than a requirements document. Understanding what someone is actually trying to do, and why the current process isn't working, matters more than the build itself.
π― User-Centric Design
The best solutions are the ones people actually use. Whether I'm supporting an existing system or building something new, I start from how the work gets done rather than from what the platform can do.
β Best Practices First
I stay close to Microsoft's recommended approaches and the patterns the community has settled on. Not for their own sake, but because I've spent enough time supporting other people's solutions to know which ones are painful to maintain.
π Show the Working
I write up the problems as well as the results. The autonumber column that got overwritten, the approach that turned out to be a dead end β those write-ups are more useful to other people than the tidy version, and a more honest record of how I got there.
π Knowledge Sharing
Writing something up forces me to understand it properly. I publish what I build here, and I've spoken at the Dynamics 365 & Power Platform UK User Group.
π Continuous Improvement
Nothing is ever finished. Requirements change and the platform moves quickly, so I treat solutions as something to revisit rather than sign off.
